​Philippine Canadian Association of Red Deer and District's Parade Float won multi award - Westerner Days 2016

 
The Philippine Canadian Association of Red Deer and District"s parade float won multi award on the recently concluded Westerner Days Parade on July 20, 2016.

The Filipino parade float won the Grand Award in the Adult Community category. It also won the Theme Award which relates to the 125th Anniversary of the Westerner Days Parade. This was represented by the 125 Pinoy kids and adults with their different traditional Filipino costumes as part of the parade float. It also won the overall Grand Award Honorable Mention.

The parade float project was designed and chaired by the PCARDD president Janice Schmidt made possible with the help of her team.

Wanted Dance Troupe Members

The Philippine Canadian Association is currently recruiting Filipino-Canadians, ages from 8  to 25 years old, to become member of the Philippine Canadian Association Dance Troupe. This is in preparation for the dance performance on Canada Day, July 1, 2017. Dance practices schedule is usually conducted every Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Festival Hall, 4214 – 58 Street, Red Deer, AB.  Please click on the related link below for further information.
